This week, the Band kids at my school had exchange students from Ontario come live at there house and go to our school. =o It was pretty neat, since some of them were in grade 12 and stuff. I was a bit envious, 'cause they got to miss a whole bunch of class time. Dx Though, I guess that's also a bad thing for them, since it puts them behind. And it made my class even more chaotic than it usually is. xD

One of them had a mustahce, though. It was amusing, 'cause he also looked like a 40 year old cop. And I kept thinking of Haru when I looked at him. xD

It was sad when they left though. D: One of my friends was actually crying. *huggles* But they get to go to Ontario and live with them in a few weeks, so it's all good. =3

And, last night, my dad was working at this little bar he runs, and Mark Messier came in. o.o Like, holy crap. I don't even like hockey and I think that's huge.

Also, prepare for a bunch of fanfiction.

So, in computer class, we're making slide shows, right? Well, today, my teahcer said we could make a slideshow on basically whatever we wanted - favourite singer, band, celebrity, show, whatever. Guess what I'm doing mine on? 8D

Yup. Avatar. xD Oh, will my obsession never end?

Anyway, we have to make a slideshow with a minimum of 6 slides. Mine will probably have 9 or 10, since I'm making a title page, a plot synopsis page, a page for each of the main characters, and a page for my general opinion of the show. Yeah. 'Tis fun. =D

I kinda feel bad for my teacher though, having to suffer through my obsessive ramblings. xP Well, I guess she asked for it. Plus, I'm sparing her from Zutara rants, so she should be thankful. xD

So, last Wednesday, apparently some mechanic guy found a fault in one of the school buses (too much rust or something, and now they've all been taken off the road for repairs/replacement. o.O So, for the past two days, people who live in rural areas or far away from the school have had to find new transportation to school, and they might have to again next week. Yeah. Crazy.

Also, I forgot to mention this last weekend, but the Ban the Can law has officially been lifted! =D

Basically, for the past 25+ years, it has been illegal to sell canned carbonated beverages in my province. So until now all pop and whatnot was sold in glass bottles. But, since theres too much competition from cans or something, the local bottling depot closed down, so everything is canned or in plastic bottles. Except maybe Seamen's brand, since it's Island based.

I'm both happy and upset about this. Happy because a ridiculous(and yet oddly well enforced) law has been lifted, upset because yet another tourist attraction has disappeared from the province. I mean, tourism is one of our main industries - if all the interesting things are taken away, no one will come here!

Oh Well. Nothin' I can do. :/

So, one of the members in my Zutara guild created a little fanfic contest, and I decided to enter in it. The hardest part was the word minimum - 2000 words. o.o Compared to my stuff, that's huge.

But I entered, and I got around 1900 words. =D Not quite the requirement, but I'm still proud.
